Come from behind

It's been a while, since I've seen you guys here.

Well I'm sitting in my room watching the blizzard bleach the outside world.  It is because of this blizz-zzard that we had no classes today.  It was good, especially since it's a whole 100 meters from my room to classes.  Apparently we're supposed to get 10-14 inches by the end of the night.  Having no school is the only redeeming aspect of the horrrrrible weather.

So, I'm watching the UEFA second leg qualifications on my computer because this silly country doesn't seem to have the most popular sport in the world on its stations.  My boys are coming from behind right now, we'll see how they do.

I'm coming from behind in many aspects of life, we'll see how I do.

Here's a picture of Christmas Break on the Mediterranean, a little change of location compared to where I am now

How I'm Feelin'

The weather isn't too cold.

Thanxxgiving is close at hand: grandparents, sister, friends, food, no work - ole~!

I have the room alone for the weekend

Grades aren't too horrible

Staying up till 1:30 doing projects is much better with a ginger ale in your hand

Sleeping through your alarm clock causes possibly more adrenaline pumpage than a roller coaster

We have counter strike in the dorm

Alana comes tomorrow

Five and a half hours studying straight with chicken nuggets at midnight as your reward, in a comfy chair with a pal is priceless.

Chillin like villins

Comfortable

Hyello world.

How are things with you all? College hasn't eaten me whole yet, it's chewing me slowly and savors my taste before swallowing me into its abyss. I'm trying to make time for reading, tests, class, soccer, frisbee, and oh yes...a life. Well those things are going: ok, could be better, so so, pretty good, could be better and non-existent, respectively.

The only dull moments around here are on Friday and Saturday nights. But we try to remedy those. The weekdays are filled with ultimate frisbee games, kicking the ball around, "working", groups, sleep, and Lost. I'm trying to find time just to veg, and i'm also trying to find time not to veg.

As a sophomore Mr. Melli asked me to talk about "the Barrenness of the Busy Life" and I now wish I knew what I said then, because I'd smack myself and then go back and change some things. When did I get rushed. Discipline, what's that.

So anyhoo...
the most exciting that happened last weekend: I was lying in bed around twelve on saturday morning and I heard a "Thump" and thought nothing of it. I look out my window later in the day and below my window and this is what I see.

Here's to the Night We Felt Alive.

Many of you are wondering what fun there is to do on a weekendt with Joel at college.

Well to be honest, not a whole lot. Unless he gets a little creative and also has some help from people who actually know anything about America and have a car.

Friday night was supposed to a luau thing, but that party kinda didn't have the right...umph, if you know what I mean. So we went out under the lights of the football field and played what I believe to be an amazzzzing game of "backyard baseball." This had everything: a frisbee for home plate, a sweater for second, none for first and third and four ducttape-newspaper balls. It was tons of fun, let me reiterate.

Saturday night was also a very spentastic time.
My roommate (David) and I went out with some others to a concert that they had known was going to take place, they offered that we should go, and hey, a free ride and a chance to get off campus...OLE~!
So we showed up and the openers weren't all that super-ridiculously-good-playing, so we kinda meandered until the real people were gonna play. The only thing was there a looong time till that happened. So, we're partially deaf, but it was well worth it.

Quick Update:

Doing pretty well. Got the sniffles and chillies, but what can you do?

I thought I didn't really have any friends (other than guys in the dorm), then a banana flew into my room telling me to go to the Student Center to play cards. I love creativity like that. Totally made my weekend.

Shindeckler

P.S. Did you know that the conflict that started the Peloponnesian War began with a quarrel between Corinth and Corcya, an island at the entrance of the Adriativ Sea? Me niether, but why are we learning this?
